I will dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
